IAB 2021 Awards Ceremony
IAB Bookkeeper of the Year
This award recognises a bookkeeper who has gone above and beyond to provide bookkeeping services to clients or their employer and whose skills have improved the effectiveness or efficiency of the business.
To be in with a chance of winning this award either:
Judging Criteria:

1. Clear description of what is exceptional about the service provided including one or more illustrative examples.

2. Information about the assistance and advice provided to clients or an employer which is beyond expectations.

3. How support has been provided to clients or an employer to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their business.

4. Evidence of how encouragement or assistance has supported the development of the client’s or employers business.

To help us reach a decision, we ask that entrance forms and supporting evidence give examples of how support is provided in these areas.

Teresa-Smith Winner 2020

IAB Accountant of the Year
This award recognises either an accountant or firm of accountants who have gone above and beyond to help their clients.
To be in with a chance of winning this award either:
Judging Criteria:

1. Clear description of what is exceptional about the service provided including one or more illustrative examples.

2. Information about the assistance and advice provided to clients or an employer which is beyond expectations.

3. How support has been provided to clients or an employer to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their business.

4. Evidence of how encouragement or assistance has supported the development of the client’s or employers business.

5. Support and encouragement of Continuing Professional Development/education for the client or employer.

To help us reach a decision, we ask that entry forms and supporting evidence give examples of how support is provided in these areas.

IAB Payroll Professional of the Year
This award recognises a payroll professional who has gone above and beyond to provide services to clients or their employer and whose skills have improved the effectiveness or efficiency of the operation of their payroll.
To be in with a chance of winning this award either:
Judging Criteria:

1. Clear description of what is exceptional about the service provided including one or more illustrative examples.

2. Information about the assistance and advice provided to clients or an employer which is beyond expectations.

3. How support has been provided to clients or an employer to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their business.

Claire Kennedy Winner 2020
IAB Student of the Year
This award acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of an individual who has studied an IAB bookkeeping or payroll qualification in the past 12 months.
To be in with a chance of winning this award either:
Judging Criteria:

1. High achievement towards attaining an IAB qualification in bookkeeping or payroll.

2. Excellent degree of progress made from the time of starting the course through to completion.

3. Any adverse challenges overcome along the way.

4. The positive impact the student has had on the organisation/employer and/or on the student group.

To help us reach a decision, we ask that entrance forms or nominations give information and examples of some or all of the above areas.
Sarah Fenwick Winner 2020
IAB Tutor of the Year
This award is open for individuals who have studied an IAB bookkeeping or payroll qualification, with an IAB accredited centre in the past 12 months, to nominate their tutor. The award acknowledges a tutor who has gone above and beyond to support their learner(s) in their studies and to help them gain new skills and knowledge through their IAB qualification.
Judging Criteria:

1. How their support and enthusiasm has helped you towards attaining your IAB qualification.

2. Evidence of the tutor’s expertise and knowledge which have helped you to progress through the qualification from the time of starting your course through to completion.

3. How the tutor has helped you to overcome any adverse challenges along the way.

4. The positive impact the tutor has had on you.

To help us reach a decision, we ask that nominations give information and examples of some or all of the above areas.
