As the vaccine roll-out programme continues, more and more companies are planning for a move back to the office. With this in mind, Acas is putting on a series of Zoom conferences to tackle the issues arising from this migration.
Its ‘Mental health and work in the pandemic – returning to the workplace’ event takes place on Thursday 29 April. It will look at the impact the pandemic has had on employees’ mental health and explores how businesses can prepare to support staff as they head back to the workplace.
Acas said: “The pandemic has had a huge impact on the workplace, with many employees still working from home. But with the summer ahead and the vaccination programme rolling out quickly, this could be about to change. How keen are your staff to leave their homes and go back into the workplace and how will this affect their mental health?
“Employers have a duty of care to their employees. It’s important that positive working environments are created with managers skilled in recognising and supporting colleagues who may be experiencing difficulties.”
